When was Jake E. Lee with Ozzy?
Jake E Lee was with Ozzy from 1982-1987 penning both “Bark At The Moon” in '83 and “The Ultimate Sin” three years later as well as touring relentlessly after each release.
Disagreements over proper songwriting credits found the guitarist embattled with Sharon Osbourne, who terminated Lee after the tour supporting 'The Ultimate Sin,' his second record with the group.
Although a tantalising prospect for fans of Lee's period with Osbourne that garnered two releases; 1983's 'Bark At The Moon' and follow-up 'The Ultimate Sin' (1986), a dispute over royalties stopped the idea from ever going any further.
Describing the move as "low-balling," Jake added: "My portion would have been $250,000 [around $650,000 in 2018 money] just for [the title track], not having publishing on it. Which means there was about $250,000 that Ozzy got instead of me. It's a lot of money - but I'm not bitter about it."
Daisley said that he and Kerslake were fired because of disagreements with Sharon over a number of things, including refusing to do two shows in one day out of worry that Ozzy would blow out his voice.
Still, there are some who believe Rhoads was not the best guitar player even in the hallowed ranks of Ozzy's band and Necrophobic's Sebastian Ramstedt has called Jake E. Lee a "much better" guitarist.
Guitarist Jake E. Lee began his career as a member of Mickey Ratt, who became better known as Ratt after a name change in the early '80s. He then moved on to Rough Cutt, a band produced by Ronnie James Dio.

He has also played; Charvel Jake E. Lee USA Signature Model. Gibson SG Jr.
Ozzy Osbourne's former guitarist Jake E. Lee, who was also a member of Ratt for a brief period in 1980 and 1981, has shot down the rumors that he was approached to rejoin Ratt earlier this year and replace Warren DeMartini.
Kerslake left Osbourne's band in early 1981 to care for his mother, who had fallen ill. On the Diary of a Madman notes, Kerslake and bassist Bob Daisley were not credited, with drummer Tommy Aldridge and bassist Rudy Sarzo instead receiving credit.
Upon hearing their first hit single at age 14, Osbourne became a fan of the Beatles. He credits their 1963 song "She Loves You" for inspiring him to become a musician. He said in the 2011 documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, "I knew I was going to be a rock star the rest of my life."
Sure enough, both Kerslake and Daisley were fired in the summer of 1981 and their names were erased from the album as if they'd never existed. Ozzy's career would never again touch the heights of Blizzard of Ozz, despite his best efforts to drum up publicity.
Bernie Tormé is known to diehard Ozzy fans as the man who succeeded Randy Rhoads in Ozzy's band on tour after Rhoads' tragic death in 1982. Because Rhoads died in a plane accident during the tour, Tormé had all of five days to get hired, learn the set and rehearse with the band in mourning before continuing the tour.
Randy Rhoads was a formidable guitar player. Some, including the man himself, consider him the greatest guitarist Ozzy Osbourne ever worked with. He brought shadings the vocalist deemed impossible to himself through hard craft and countermelodies.
