In the penultimate episode of Outer Banks Season 3, JJ (Rudy Pankow) and Kiara (Madison Bailey) finally kiss. And not only that, but they also declare their love for each other in front of all of Kiara's fellow “bad girls” at Kitty Hawk Adventure Therapy before escaping into the night.
As Kiara and JJ continued to grow closer as friends, her bond with Pope (Jonathan Daviss) turned romantic.
In the middle of the party, they decide to go off and they end up having sex on a beach. In the next episode, after John B's court hearing, Pope makes another move on Kiara and she tells him that they'll talk about the sex later. After John B got out of jail, Kiara brings up their hook up.
Initially, Pope rejects some of Kiara's romantic advances, but after she almost dies a second time, he tries to make a move, and Kie rejects Pope. After the group reunites with John B and Sarah, they throw a beachside bonfire where Kie and Pope have sex.

However, the "no Pogue-on-Pogue macking" rule seems to be ancient history, which is what initially kept Kiara from dating within the friend group.

The two-hour premiere saw JJ (A.J. Cook) profess her love for Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) after he saved her life when she was shot in a parking garage.
